Redness & Inflammation Be Gone: Cecilia’s Guide to Keeping Rosacea Symptoms at Bay

Hello Lovelies!

Throughout my years in the skincare industry, I’ve had many clients who were struggling with rosacea come to me after exhausting their other efforts trying to find a way to keep their redness and inflammation at bay. Though I don’t personally suffer from this skincare ailment, I totally understand how frustrating rosacea can be. As someone who spent her teenage years struggling with terrible acne, I know just how difficult it can be when you try everything to heal your skin and find no relief. However, throughout my years as a facialist, I’ve helped countless clients find the light at the end of the tunnel. While it is impossible to completely cure rosacea, I’ve found a protocol that has worked to eliminate the symptoms and signs of rosacea for many of my clients and today I’ll be sharing some of my best advice with you. Here are my top three tips for kissing your redness and inflammation goodbye:

Both red and infrared light have an anti-inflammatory effect on skin suffering from rosacea. LED light therapy uses light wave frequencies to penetrate the deeper layers of the skin and stimulate the blood vessels and cell renewal from deep tissue, ultimately rejuvenating the skin. Additionally, it helps reduce redness, dryness, and flushing of the skin. The LED red light is also anti-aging, as it helps build collagen, diminish fine lines and wrinkles, and fade uneven skin tone and pigmentation. For those of you less familiar with this treatment, it has no side effects and was actually originally pioneered by NASA before it made it’s way into aesthetician’s treatment rooms. I highly recommend trying out this method if you’ve tried other remedies to no avail. I suggest sticking with LED light therapy for five to twelve sessions, as the consistency is what leads to the best results.

Another effective way to treat rosacea is by using products that contain ingredients that are calming, anti-inflammatory and soothing to the skin. My number one product that has been a godsend for my clients with rosacea is my Strengthening Serum, which repairs your skin like no other oil. This serum is a carefully balanced, therapeutic blend of 8 precious oils, designed to strengthen skin, prevent capillary breakage, relieve redness, soothe inflammation and itchiness, and comfort fragile skin. A potent dose of Helichrysum Oil has powerful anti-inflammatory, skin-rejuvenating, and cell-regenerative properties to benefit fragile skin. Chamomile, Carrot Seed, and Borage Oils combine to further soothe and strengthen. With consistent use, you’ll see blotchiness, pain, redness, and capillaries visibly reduced. For those of you looking through ingredient lists of skincare you already own or use, look for ingredients like rosehip, aloe vera, chamomile, flaxseed, grapeseed, and green tea, all of which are soothing and strengthening for the skin. Finally, always make sure you use SPF year-round. I know that I stress this to all my clients, but it is even more important for those of you with rosacea. Never leave the house without sunscreen on!

As many of you know, I’m all about treating the skin from the inside out and in the vein of Traditional Chinese Medicine, I believe it’s important to treat the entire body a whole, rather than only addressing the immediate symptoms. In addition to a healthy, balanced diet that includes tons of fresh fruit and vegetables, I’ve heard from multiple clients that certain nutrients have aided their rosacea journey. Fish oil, black currant oil and flaxseed oil all contain loads of omegas, which help keep skin cells healthy, while also keeping inflammation at bay. I also highly recommend taking a shot of chlorophyll each morning to neutralize acidity and decrease inflammation in the body. Remember to always talk to your doctor before starting a new health regimen. Do you or someone you know suffer from rosacea? Have you ever used led light therapy or targeted skincare to help aid the ailment? Feel free to try out my suggestions and see how your skin woes due to rosacea become a thing of the past! I would like to thank you so much for reading and so generously sharing! It’s always wonderful sharing these great tips with you all!

With all my love, Cecilia
