Rejuvenate, Restore, & Revitalize Your Skin This Fall with Cecilia’s Guide to Vitamins A, B, & C

Hello Gorgeous!

It’s crazy to think that it is officially pumpkin spice season and Halloween is just around the corner. I love fall and the crisp coziness that comes with it, however this transitional season isn’t always as sweet to your skin. The decreasing temperature can leave your skin looking and feeling dry and dull. Thankfully, there are a variety of naturally occurring vitamins and nutrients that can combat the effects of the shifting seasons. That’s why today, I’d like to discuss vitamins a, b, and c and how they can rejuvenate, restore, and revitalize your skin.

Vitamin A is the Holy Grail vitamin for those looking for anti-aging benefits. This vitamin fights against fine lines and wrinkles, while stimulating collagen production and increasing cell turnover. Both of these functions help to keep skin looking young and tight. You can find vitamin A in raspberry seed oil, which is a key ingredient in my best-selling Black Currant Serum. This serum is the ultimate rejuvenator and employs 11 other precious, skin-nutrifying oils in addition to raspberry seed oil, to boost collagen, increase elasticity and bring life back to your complexion.

While there are a variety of vitamin B’s, I wanted to focus on vitamin B3, also known as niacinamide. Vitamin B3 is especially important this time of year, as it helps to hydrate the skin and fortify the skin’s barrier function, perfect for preparing your skin for the harsh winter. Strengthening your skin’s natural barrier protects it from environmental irritants such as pollution, while also allowing it to retain more moisture. Additionally, this healing nutrient reduces redness and helps to calm the skin. Overall, thanks to its anti-inflammatory properties, it’s a great vitamin for those of you who struggle with dry, red skin.

Though I’ve discussed vitamin C extensively in the past, I feel like it’s such an amazing element of skincare that it warranted a mention. When someone asks me what vitamin c does for the skin, I always say that it does the same thing for the skin as it does for the body. There are countless oral vitamin c products out there that are marketed towards immunity and fighting off colds. When you take vitamin c in this way, it helps to boost your immune system. Similarly, when you apply vitamin c topically to your skin, it helps to boost your complexion, while brightening and leaving you with a radiant glow. My Vitamin C Cleanser contains a healthy dose of vitamin C and other potent botanical ingredients for a deep clean for skin that’s never overstripped. It leaves your skin softer with a more luminous & bright complexion.

Finally, I highly recommend eating a diet that consists of foods high in these vitamins, because as you all know, healthy skin starts from within. As I mentioned, these nutrients tend to effect the system in their topical application as well as when they are consumed. Eating a wide variety of fruits and vegetables and other plant based foods like nuts and legumes will have you covered. Specifically, carrots and sweet potatoes are high in vitamin A, mushrooms and avocados have a great deal of vitamin B3, and kale, broccoli and lemons are some of my favorite ways to get some vitamin C.

Did you know about vitamin A, B, C and how they can improve your skin? Have you tried using products with high concentrations of these essential nutrients? Feel free to try out my suggesting and use products that focus on these amazing vitamins and see how your skin appears brighter, firmer, and glowing!
